I find this true, for me at least.
Once you good at something, you get praises left and right, front, up, down, center that it's becoming something you hear too often, but always be on the lookout for guys or girls whom approach you and say hello. They will sometimes praise you without being too needy. All too often, i find them to be very valuable people that you don't often meet, or they hang around their own circle, most of the time.
