Was out this weekend and I met this really pretty girl through my friend. Flirted for a bit, but nothing too overly intense. Ended up leaving without her phone number and after the night, my buddy was speaking to her via facebook and I was brought up in conversation. He told me about the conversation and that she may be interested, but said she said If I wanted to add her, I could. I go to school out of town, so I decided why not text her instead and try to chill this weekend. I got her number from my buddy and shot her off the message "Heard you were to shy to message me. Cute." Didn't say who it was, as I wanted to see if she'd respond without asking my name, meaning I was possibly still on her mind. She responded back without asking who it was. We messaged eachother back and fourth a couple times and then finally I asked her:

Me: "What are your plans for the weekend?"
Girl: "Going out Downtown tomorrow night, you?"
Me: "Yeah same actually. Maybe if you're lucky you'll run into me"
Her: "Maybe. We'll find out"

This was a friday night around ten and I was wondering if I could push the boundaries and get her over tonight so I responded:
Me: "Don't leave things up to chance. Let's chill"
Her: "School A (Her school) chilling with School B (my school)? I don't know if that's allowed
Me: Just called admin. Credits are transferable (Around 12ish that night)
Her: Interesting. Funny how that worked out (Next Morning)

I know here I get a bit greedy, but because I was only in for a few more days, I was like what the hell I'll throw a hail mary; even though she told me last night she was going out saturday

Me: Tonight 8ish, we'll chill and I'll tell you what exactly to expect from school B
Her: I have plans but I think I know who to message when I'm at your school
Me: I'm a busy guy, dont know if you'll get a chance
Her: Oh thats too bad then

I know this may seem like she is brushing me off and is postponing the hangout, but in all honesty we only spoke for like 5-10 mins when we met, so I was unsure if she was interested but nervous and really had plans,or just wasn't interested to chill. (My buddy told me she really was downtown that night)

After this conversation my buddy brought me up in conversation again. She told him how she thought I was smooth and flattered how I messaged her. When he asked if we were gonna chill, she responded by saying he goes to school out of town. And then he said you had all weekend to chill and she responded by saying I told him I had plans.

From their conversation, I believe there is definitely some interest on her behalf there, as she never shut down the idea of hanging out but replied by saying that she was actually busy. Correct me if I'm wrong? My question is, I will not be home for a couple weeks now and I'm wondering If I should periodically message her until I'm back and ask her to hang out again? Or is this dead and she was never actually interested in hanging out?

She is playing hard to get. There's some interest, But there's also a possibility that her interest is not all that high, and she's a girl who likes to be chase, those kind where you need to have a certain push and pull with her before she hook. I suggest when you back, just her out directly.
