I think it would be awesome if we transferred key articles on GC into audio format, as then people could learn about seduction and mindsets and all that jazz while driving or walking around. Get some professional narrators -- hell, some of the guys around here probably have voices that would be perfect for it -- and find an audio recording set up that sounds good, and boom! we're in business.

It could start with key articles or maybe even the book, and Chase could sell them with monthly subscriptions or as a one time package or something to cover the expenses and even make a little bit more on the side for providing the extra value. What do y'all think?

I think they're kind of doing that by making the iOS App (and eventually Android I hear) -- this will at least make it more accessible.

Personally, I wouldn't listen to the articles in audio format, especially if I can read faster than the specific person speaking. Not all articles apply to my life, and for a good 30% of them or so, I like to just skim through them for things I might need to know later (like when in a LTR or if a 3-some opportunity comes up, etc.; it doesn't apply to my life currently, but good to know for potentially later, yet I don't feel like taking the time to read every detail of an article that doesn't apply to me currently).

Oskar,

As Pinot mentioned, it might be quite a daunting task for a feature that may not be used by many subscribers. But it is certainly something worth considering, so I'll forward this idea along to Chase.

Oskar-

Thanks for the suggestion. One of the biggest difficulties with business is choosing which avenue(s) you want to go down; different people have different preferred learning styles, and it's hard to do everything well: some people really just want to read; some would rather listen to audio; some really only want to just watch video.

We couldn't do, say, the whole site with a subscription... the average rate for an audio book reading is $300 for 60 minutes or 11,000 words; that's about 3 GC articles on average. To do the entire site would cost $270,000, which is a little more than I'd be looking to spend for a product I have no familiarity marketing and selling (the book'd be around $3000 to do; I think it's 100,000 words if I remember right, but been a while since I did a word count).

We could do an audio version of select articles and sell that as a product; however, it'd be pretty niche and I don't think we'd be able to sell nearly enough of them to cover costs (e.g., we have Seduction Sensei available as our primary audio product, and that hardly sells - true, we don't push it as much as other programs, and you get Sensei anyway if you buy Mastery so most guys just buy Mastery, but a lot of people buy the book or videos standalone too, but they don't buy Sensei).

I'd more or less say this is one of those cool ideas that there just isn't really a practical way for us to do right now. However, I suspect we're not too far from being able to have our smart phones read whatever we want them to read to us; Ricardus was telling me about a program he uses a while back that lets him convert any text into audio so he can listen to it on the go, so he just copies and pastes whatever he wants to read into that and then he's set (actually, if you want that, Oskar, let me know and I'll ask him what that program or app is again).

No worries Chase,

Thanks for breaking that down. Very informative :)

Oskar

P.S. But you can tell Ricardus that people here would be very happy if he shared some new guest posts with us about things he's learned since he stopped writing.
