Field Report –

I was in the area and decided to stop by the mall. Honestly, I’ve never really enjoyed the mall or found many hot girls there, and I’m not looking to get “drip.” But I’d been inspired by Bayne (who you guys mentioned), so I thought I’d give it a shot.

First Opportunity
Right in the parking lot, I saw some hot girls dressed fancy with their mom. They even stopped as if to let me catch up. I thought about it, remembered a Bayne video where he goes direct even with moms present, but I didn’t pull the trigger. Afterward, I got a little down on myself for still not having the balls to approach a girl in front of her mom.

Inside the Mall
I went looking for the hat store, wandered around, but didn’t approach. Instead, I stumbled into an empty store that had been converted into art studios. This gave me the idea — I could rent one and actually set up in the mall to paint girls (like Chase once suggested). I talked to the artist there for a while and realized renting a studio could solve two things — a place to paint and a natural way to meet people.

Later, I walked more and asked a few girls my painting line. Nothing bit today. Still, at least I’m keeping up the habit of doing something every time I’m out. Even if it’s just one attempt, it keeps me in rhythm.

Other Notes

  • I’m still recovering from a toxic relationship, so my energy isn’t where I want it to be.
  • I noticed my posture is messed up — the mall mirrors were a good reminder of that.
  • The mall itself was mostly sporty-dressed dudes. I only noticed two with real “drip,” and they looked like twins. Personally, I’ve been going with the sporty/clean look (Marshall’s new clothes). But it might be getting excessive — even the artist lady mentioned Marshall’s in a way that made me wonder if it was passive-aggressive. Probably time to mix it up.

Reflections
No numbers or leads today. But I’m proud I at least stayed consistent and went out. The studio rental idea is growing on me, since they’re cheap and could disappear if they don’t find tenants. That could give me a good logistical base for both art and social opportunities. Better logistics than painting at my parents’ house, though obviously not the same as having my own pad.
