Its different for everyone.
What might help you "feel more" is to practice meditation. This will help you feel your body's physical sensations, tie them into your emotional sensations, and allow you to experience them "fuller" in the present moment. Honestly that is a bastardization of meditation's benefits. There is a lot more you'll get out of it!
I like to practice "walking meditation." Basically bring awareness to your body and senses every time you remember to do so.
Sitting meditation can be much more powerful however.
