Socializing Mate Value and Maintenance Conflict

So i was reading Chase's article:

This is auto-rejection... for whatever reason, these women you're not interested in are thinking they have a shot with you, and then immediately writing you off as having "rejected" them when they see you with other girls. Behavior this extreme ("He's with another girl? Screw him!") you'll usually only see with inexperienced women... the more experienced women have learned that a man being with another girl doesn't necessarily mean he's sleeping with that girl, or that he won't be sleeping with them, later.

The only things you can do to prevent this, really, are to change the way you are with these women, so that they stop feeling like they have a shot with you (while still feeling like you're a nice / cool / fun guy)... you can add some aloofness and some coldness and some superiority to your interactions with them, not enough to seem completely rude, but just enough so that they KNOW you aren't interested in them and don't start obsessing over you and/or they see you as a dick and write you off as anything other than friend material... and, changing your style, so that you look too good for them and clearly out of your league. Once you up your style enough that attractive women start viewing you as handsome and sexy routinely, unattractive women instinctively know they don't have much of a shot with you and don't even bother trying or getting worked up over you.
