Just had an approach that I'm going to be particularly fond of for a long time to come, even if it didn't land me a date.
Went to a donut shop nearby cuz... why not? Feel sad, eat a donut. Makes sense lol.
Anyway, a girl working there and we easily fall into conversation so I decide to go for it. Too busy. She says she believes in fate and that if I come back another time then she can't say no.
Fuck that.
Walk out with my donut and literally turn right back around and go in.
"I forgot something. Need a drink. Also this is the second time I've been here and..."
Lol no go but now the fun part that I love, if anyone has heard of mathemagics I used mathemagics to try and pick up a girl. It's basically just a bunch of arithmetic tricks to shorthand some math in your head, and I've gotten pretty good at making some calculations in my head.
Anyways, I ask her "How many hours a week do you work? Say, 80?"
"yes"
"Perfect!" *pauses for a moment to think it through* "That means you have roughly 15-20 hours left in the week to hang out with me"
"Lol how do ya figure?"
"Simple math, my dear. 80 hours a week of work, and then you seem like the type that sleeps about 6 hours a night so there's an additional 42 hours a week. That's 122 hours a week so far. Then you have to eat, get ready and spend time with bathroom shenanigans and travel for work. I'm guessing high and saying 28 hours a week there. That leaves 18 hours left, so around 15-20 hours a week left to hang out with this handsome stranger you met at work" *wink*
All without missing a beat, rattled that math shit off in a few seconds lol
Sadly all she said was to come back another time but not tonight.
No date, but the math part was fun haha
Much more fun than any of the other approaches I've done, even if they have gone further. This one will have a special place in my heart
