Something I found comedic today was the rather large attention from the media towards the PUA community.

Julien from the pick up company Real Social Dynamics is being attacked by feminists and alike for putting up infield video's of him "sexually assaulting" women and teaching his students how to do it.

The main video that originally riled people up was a video with infield footage of Julien taking girls and pushing their heads down to his crotch as a means of self-amusement. This was followed by a freetour clip of him telling guys about his adventure in Japan in which he made this his tactic.
Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYP-0vdnwUw
I personally think the infield clips are pretty funny, and harmless fun (the girls are smiling and enjoying the party).

Critics are in a rage and have taken the best stand possible to get a buzz in the media with statements such as:
What disturbs me is that he and his company are profiting from promoting rape culture and instructing men how to terrorize and assault women
This quote was taken from a Washingtonpost blog post here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...t-of-australia-for-his-controversial-tactics/

Interestingly enough Julien actually created these video's to purposely offend people to cause drama in the media, so I assume he's loving it all. He even has a huge following of feminazi's getting petitions signed to try and ban him from teaching pick up in Canada. Lol.
They got numerous hotels in Australia to ban him from teaching there.

I personally could give a shit about all the media garbage but what it really made me realize how whack and biased the media is for the sole purpose of causing a stir for profit. The media could give a shit about RSD's side of the story (not teaching dudes to rape/assault women but become men and get what they want out of life) they only care about the best headline to make their money.

What I learned from all this is to think about the other side of the equation when big media story's get blasted. The media can paint the picture of the story in whatever fashion they want and most people will believe it without giving it a second thought. You really can't believe anything the media puts out.

Pretty scary to think the lack of ability to think for oneself and believing the first thing that you're told just because it sounds good/believable.

Whats even scarier is that I don't even know if I could put myself into the "free thinking/come to my own conclusions" thing.

Anyway what do you guys think of Juliens shinanigans?

Rob,

Yea, I just post it as well. To me, what he did can be "wrong" only because it's not common, and it's not so cool to go to people's country and do your ethics. But the biggest thing that didn't surprise me is how blast out of proportion the media is.

In fact, to bite feminist back in the ass, Rose McGowan recently got into some similar shit. What a world we live in. Diverse wants masquerading as "logic".

Yeah great points Rob; about Julien, I mean I think that for the videos he probably has to perform a bit more than he would off camera... but the point of that being that I'd bet he's just like any guy with game in general: checking the comfort levels of the girl/type of girl and busting her balls according to that. He's a skilled player and knows where to draw the line I'm sure, and if he's into it and the girl's into it then no one else should really have to say anything... and then the other people complaining are just complainers in general (outraged about whatever the media tells them they should be outraged about today, and not really any different than feminists or any other polarized group comparing about how x things are unfair and offend them and should change to appease their interests...).

Not sure how big this is (in regards to the attention that Julien's gonna get) but I hope that whatever amount of attention he gets he uses well/constructively.

This video reminded me of Paul Janka and how he had been kind of demonized and frowned upon when he was made public and brought to Dr. Phil and stuff (janka on dr. phil show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmYT6qlyIws). He got quite a bit of notoriety.

But he talks about that in an interview and how all that really amounted from that for him was random girls finding out about him and hitting him up to want to fuck him (no strings attached just cause he's been with 100s of women).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOSS3DEXqhw he talks about it like a minute in or so and has a few interesting thoughts/tales to share. For him nothing really bad came out of the notoriety and the temporary media focus on him; Julien's a funny dude and seems like a cool guy hope the same happens for him and that he just walks out of this with a little extra tail ;)

Jeffy from the RSD clan (whatever you want to call it) mentioned in multiple videos about Julien being jealous of Jeffy getting a feminazi hate article written about him for driving a "rape van" and being an asshole to women (it was an upset girl that he went on a date with that happened to be in the media if memory serves me).
Julien supposedly thought it was funny and wanted to get a hate article written on him as well and deliberately worked hard to do so... the fruit of his labor has arrived.

Funny enough one of the "sexist tactics" that the media was jumping on that Julien talks about is the "choke opener" where you walk up to a girl and say "hey" and lightly grasp her neck as if you were choking her.
I field tested it for mere amusement with a girl I met via social circle and went into a role play within the first minute of conversation and choked her in front of her friends. She backed away (obvious social pressure reasons in front of her peer group letting a stranger choke her) but was clearly enjoying herself and started chasing me as a result interestingly enough.

This video reminded me of Paul Janka and how he had been kind of demonized and frowned upon when he was made public and brought to Dr. Phil and stuff (janka on dr. phil show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmYT6qlyIws). He got quite a bit of notoriety.
Yeah I've seen it I thought it was pretty funny as well and I think he handled himself pretty well despite the way he was portrayed to the female audience.
I'd bet it actually got more people interested in his pickup stuff and probably got him some new clients.
I never heard of him until I saw his youtube vid.

Thanks for weighing in Gem and Zac

When's the last time you heard a positive headline about sex?

"Man Gives Hundreds of Women Orgasms, Regarded as Local Town Hero!"

No. It's more like,

"Man Can't Settle Down With a Woman, So He Terrorizes The Locals!"

Of course, openly taunting a belief that is held by the wide majority isn't the right way to go about these sorts of things, because they'll just emotionally disassociate with anyone claiming to learn seduction due to the horrible publicity surrounding the PUA because loudmouths want to get recognized for being baddies. But even bad publicity is good publicity, which is probably one of the reasons why he tried to make this blow up into an issue.

If you actually watch some of the RSD video's they've been putting out in the last while....

They do have some good ideas, the problem I've always seen with them is they REALLY try to push the boundaries with people and come off very aggressive, bro-ish and even butthurt when things don't go their way. They have some good messages in the videos about how to own your own life and how to get over anxiety and all that. The problem is the message gets mixed in with so much BS that I feel like it gets totally lost.

A few of the instructors have been torn a new one by various media outlets before and there's a few videos which were floating around a few years ago of them basically running around a bar, getting agressive with really drunk girls and STILL getting nowhere. They talk a good game, but that stuff turns me off it. They just don't do themselves any favors.

I know we're all in favor here of men learning to be better men... but there's a line. Especially with the strong social media feminist movements these days. If you're going to present yourself in such a way, you've got to expect the backlash.
