It's quite common these days for ladies to give a fib about them not having phones on your first initial approach to them. What I noticed in addtion is that when I persist, they get warmed up to me but refrain from still letting me in on their digits for a future meet up. I assume this is because they do not want to come off as too easy or they try to appear moral -
So from one of the recent posts on the site: Hector's 24 rules one and Chase's Social Experience chart; it appears the way to get any thing out of this is to either
1. Call her out on the bullshit and make her know you 'get it'. When I made this attempt, she was more receptive to my conversations with her and actually became a bit more invested. Her social ineptness was pretty dull though so she did not have much else to offer value-wise. In another case, she was super intrigued and though she had no phone, she gave me clear and genuine directions to her place and walked away from me immediately - how coy!
2. Arrange a meet up on a certain day. Here I am yet to attempt this: set up a date as normal in a place that she admits to knowing, then show up there at the prescribed time. To borrow from the insight of the article, I do not need to bother about being there any moment later if she does not appear at the agreed time.
Hopefully with the second option I can get some more concrete dates if an instant one is still too much out of the question.
