Anybody an expert in men's fashion? If you know all there is to know about guys wearing shorts, do tell.
When I was in 6th and 7th grade, I got teased by other guys for wearing shorts that went above my knees. (I was growing out of them) ever since ive made it a general rule to follow to avoid getting laughed at or thought of as gay. I honestly don't care anymore and I really want to hear from experts and they're experience on what attracts the ladies.
I see guys wearing stuff like this: http://www.google.com/search?q=mens...AQ&biw=768&bih=928#biv=i|21;d|IJQ4zxIz6M_jpM: and I'm like really? Won't people think you're gay?
Anyways, it can get pretty hot where I live and I'm just trying to collect a wardrobe for the summer...got rid of all my baggy clothes.

So there is a famous PUA/ dating coach I met in LA you can see his site manwhore.org. This guy has a ton of skill I have not really dug into his site, but read a LR or two he is pretty amazing. Actually I base my sexting off an article of his, it really gets girls going.

Anyway he ONLY wears shorts. I think Chase gives a TON of value and writes great, great articles, my favorite on the internet, but there is one thing I will respectfully disagree with and that is "Style."

Looks and style are not fundamentally important and can even hinder your ability to get better at game like they have done for me. I do enjoy looking great and having style, I constant get compliments on my hair, jacket, "swaggar," but it rarely amounts to anything. Girls expect my game to be flawless because of these things and clearly I'm not a pro so my game is no where near PUA's like Chase or Manwhore.

You will constantly hear me reiterate that looks and style don't matter. I will always add that hygene and the way you carry yourself are much more important. We can go into the rest of the fundamentals like eye contact and tonality, but I'm sure you know what those are.

The main thing about what you wear is that it should be congruent with you and who you see yourself as. If it's 100 degrees outside, throw on your comfy shorts and own them. Don't be apologetic about it and if a gorgeous girl makes a comment take it as a shit test, she's trying to see if you're OK with it. Smile and ask what else she likes about you. Any good PUA will be able to pick up a stunner in sweats, I know this for a fact, go ask Manwhore if you want a second opinion.

I had this same question, actually. Living down under, where it's just hot as hell everyday, I see everybody wearing shorts. In fact, I feel like a black sheep because of the jeans I wear...But here is my observation. I've seen many, many beautiful girls walking on the streets in the daytime with guys who are wearing pink shorts that go above the knees, with a white t-shirt that has a design on it, a pair of jet black sunglasses, and flip-flops. I didn't see that at all when I lived in the States. It, quite literally, goes against everything I thought was good Men's fashion. Except for the pink shorts, I own two pairs of those.

Probably just depends on the climate and country you are in.

In the past I've only worn shorts that went above my knees. Do have one or two pairs that are knee level but that's about it. The longer the shorts, the sloppier they seem to fit and the more they remind me of shorts I used to wear as teenager or see other teenagers wear. Short shorts are definitely the way to go!

Wes,

I live at the beach, and it is pretty damn hot 275 days a year.

If it is hot, wear shorts man. It doesn't matter. I personally like the look of shorts that are wider legged and go above the knee. Usually that and a t-shirt or polo and shades is what I wear on warm days. This is a pretty typically fratty look, but it actually looks good to girls, and can be pulled off even if you aren't in a frat, or are out of that age group.

Wearing long pants around all the time unless you are attending a high end function or work looks dumb in a hot climate. (Exceptions can be made for linen or very lightweight pants and suits, but this is something that is very easy to make look like you are trying to be a Cuban gangster).

One of the fundamentals I got really into is fashion as I´ve always wanted to improve the way I dressed but I also like to be comfortable, I used to think that being fashionable requires dressing uncomfortable luckily that isn´t the case as you can look good even with a graphic T-shirt as long as it fits you well and you know how to complement it.
On to the shorts I love wearing them as I find them really comfortable , of course there are some shorts that aren´t going to look good , so you want to avoid the ones that have pockets on the sides , etc.. anyway here´s a link that will show you how to wear shorts , I find the articles in here really useful to improve you fashion sense , especially the fashion for begginers series , here you will find one type of clothing for example shorts and the explanation on how to wear the , what to wear with them etc.. they have several looks for each thing some I like and some don´t (for example I don´t like how the guys wear the shorts in the main pic of th article) but I´m sure you will find something of your liking
