About a month ago, I met a woman through a woman friend of mine at a night club. After talking with her alone for 20 minutes I moved on to other people in the club. I didn't really have an express interest in her at the time. The next weekend, I ran into her again at a different venue with the same mutual girlfriend. And again, it was a brief interaction since I was only there to see one band then taking off to another venue to see another band the same night. As it turns out, her and some of our mutual friends showed up at the second venue later. I had arrived 30 minutes before any them at the second venue.
I wasn't quite feeling in the zone that night and didn't really care to be honest. I told her she should come check out our band sometime and I headed home. The next morning, when I logged onto Facebook to check messages, she had sent a Friend Request and I gladly confirmed that. Later that week, she sent me an invitation to a multiple band fund raiser event that I had already heard about. I had denied all event invites for that coming weekend since I had made other plans. Well, things changed by Friday and I decided to show up at the Saturday event at the last minute.
Well, she noticed me there and pulled me back to her table with her other girlfriends. I ended up hanging out there the rest of the evening (I already knew this was a "no-no" in the seduction arena). I honestly didn't care because the venue was nearly "standing room only" layout except three large booths with tables along one wall. I had a perfect view of the stage from where I was sitting and surrounded by two attractive women (her and her friend) and four others that were just so-so and one couple.
Towards the end of the night, the two of us end up back at her place with some food we grabbed nearby. I spent another two hours there just talking and never made a move. Not even a kiss, LOL. Logistics played a big part in why we ended up back at her place. She only lived about 5 blocks from the venue and my place was a 30 minute drive from her place.
Before you give me the third degree, which I might deserve to some degree, here's the main reason I didn't make a move. She had back surgery early this year and has metal pieces lodged in her lower back. Uh, I saw the two X-rays on her Facebook post a few weeks ago--Yikes!. She walks around fine and looks perfectly normal but it all comes down to pain management. So I purposely made our time at her place that night the "Informational Date." FYI: I'm 52 years old and she's 48 and very attractive with a slender build.
Now I'm having trouble trying to get her out on a second date and worried the attraction window is nearly gone. I asked her out last week via text message but she had out-of-town guests last weekend. She said this weekend would be better. Her doctor told her to stay home this week and her employer's having her work from home--telecommuting. So I'm having a logistics issue with asking her out again because of this.
My idea is just to call her up and tell her I want to bring over some lunch and hang out. Good idea? Bad idea? Any suggestions? By the way, I have three other prospects on the back burner but I want to see how this one pans out. Thanks....
