Not sure exactly how to explain this, but has anybody ever had multi tasking type problems? Sometimes I think the two sides of my brain aren't linked very well, haha! What I mean is when I interact with girls or in social situations it's hard for me to keep a certain posture/facial expression while asking the right questions and saying the right things while the whole time reading the other persons body language and deciphering what they are saying. It seems like I get to a plateau with multi task oriented things and can't get any better.

For example, I have been playing guitar and singing for years and play regularly but still struggle with either keeping timing/remembering chords or remembering words. I can sing great when not playing and I can play perfect when not singing. Or while performing a task (like at work) that I have done a million times and could do in my sleep, it's hard for me to have a conversation or even talk while doing it.

I usually work hard at what I am trying to accomplish. I think I had ADD as a kid but over came it as I got older, could this have any bearing on multi task skills? Am I just crazy or has anybody struggled with this? And does anybody have any tips or thoughts on it?

Thank you for your time :)

Hey there bassman,

Am I just crazy or has anybody struggled with this? And does anybody have any tips or thoughts on it?

The trick here is too focus all of your attention on one thing until it becomes engrained in you to the point where you don't think about even doing it anymore. Once that happens, you can move on to the next thing and the previous thing you'll just "do" because you've done it so much. That's my advice for tackling this kind of problem. =)

I'll back Franco up on this one, think about typing. Learning it took a lot of concentration at the time probably, but now it's mindless more or less
