My girl still "loves" her ex.

I've been seeing this girl for about 3 months, and to be honest it's going amazing. Everything feels so natural, sex is great, we're both super attracted to each other. The only things that's concerning me is her Ex. They split over 7 or 8 months back, and were together for 4 years. It's her only relationship before me. I noticed on her phone yesterday just glancing over, that he was one of her top friends on snapchat. So I brought it up when we were in bed later and we got talking about him. She basically told me that she'll never cut him out of her life completely, because he was her first everything, they come from a small country town and their families are very close, she still cares for him AND that she still loves him but it's "not in the same way." She still claims she's over him. The thing is I believe her, but it doesn't make it much easier.

Should I be worried? Because hell, I am. I do trust her, she's been so open and honest with me about everything the entire time. I just want to know how to handle this, I can feel these stupid jealous feelings surfacing and it's very unhealthy.

Yes, you should be worried about it.

The way she talks about him, she's not over him at all. Otherwise, she wouldn't be talking about him like that.

It's a sad thing and if I were you I would be worried. But not worried too much
Take a step out of your reality and realize that yes she has feelings for her ex but you're your own person. You can leave at anytime you want. Jealousy will only appear when you lack options, go create some. Trust me when I say that one you have 10 girls who you can have the same amazing connection with, the same great sex with and all you won't be worried anymore.
If it was me I'd tell you can I understand he was your first and that it creates a special bond but listen I'm here now. I don't mind you talking to him and all but if you have to split emotions ( and body) between me and him I'm out.
There's just too many amazing women in the world man. develop that absolute abundance and jealousy will hardly ever come knocking.
