Sup fellas,

Looking into finally making a jewelry investment in the necklace department. My current jewelry selection consists of two watches- 1 silver and 1 black wooden watch and now I plan on adding a necklace.

Jewelry should add meaning and help define personality which is why I am NOT considering anything with a cross.... Right now I am looking in the direction of something Buddhist, or more specifically a lotus flower necklace/pendant. I ran into a pretty solid website to start with

http://www.buddhagroove.com

Obviously meaning>shiny.... but where is that line? how do I tell the difference between a manly meaningful pendant or necklace vs. a feminine one?

Here are a couple I found that look interesting. Be blunt if something looks lame. the only necklaces I have ever owned were a gold, and silver chains(in middle school).

I like the style it's not flashy... the website has a couple different options for the actual pendant

this is one where i'm cautious of it being more feminine

tree of life- less feminine then the previous

pretty cool as well.

any other tips are welcome

I would get a claspless titanium curb link chain, I think 24" was the size I bought, nice and chunky, say 7mm or 8mm links. Very masculine look. I drilled a hole in an old 500 lire coin and attached that too using a small extra circular link that I bought from a chainmail website, had to get a couple pairs of jewellery pliers. If you do it like this there's a story behind it (it's my lucky coin, it travelled all round Europe with me when I was 19, etc).
