New Guy here with a question about hand holding on a 1st or 2nd date

Recently had a first date with a women I met online and we had a long stroll since the cafe was crowded. So i know that I wouldn't be holding hands with her at the beginning of the date but I wasn't sure about the end. But we had nice conversation and shared a lot of information and I walked her back to the train. Not completely sure how to grab a woman's hand and start walking. But even with being a confused dater I made it to date number 2. We went to have dinner and had another long walk at the end of the date but still no hand holding.

Since I am attracted to her she made me nervous so I didn't hold her hand or go for the kiss. I just went for the hug at the end of the date. I am thinking I may have blown my chances and just want to know for the future how do I go about holding a woman's hand on a date?

Just go ahead and take her hand softly when you're walking. I think going for a stroll is the best time to be doing this. It feels more natural. If she likes you, she will let you do it. If she doesn't, she'll let you know loud and clear lol something else you can try is offering your hand out in a non-chalent way and see if she takes it, but not all girls can take the cue. Don't make it a big deal in your head.
