Couple weeks ago saw a gal while running and exchanged hello's.

Saw her again on Tuesday, stopped and talked with her.

Did some deep diving and pulled her number.

Sent rapport text that evening. Got a response.

Sent a meet up text today. Said she was out of state till Tuesday.

I text her and say have a great time and we will meet up next week.

Then she texts me this:
Thank you:) i must tell you that i have a serious boyfriend. I was quiet taken by you i will admit, and i felt so comfortable talking to you i spontaneously gave you my number, which i never usually do. Ill be brutally honest i felt attracted to you and wasnt thinking rationally. I hope you will understand. you seem like a wonderful person:)

What's the move fellas?

Right now I think, just like I planned befor she sent that text, wait till Wednesday to text for a meet up.

Thoughts?

Hey Jake,
it sounds like she did feel for you but buyer's remorse kicked in and she's letting you know her situation.

I'd recommend telling "Thank you for your honesty - I too appreciated that you (enter something about her outside of her looks that you liked about her here) and would like to see you again. I'm sad to find out that you had a boyfriend already. I'm sure he appreciates you. In any case lets stay in touch!"

You
• qualify her
• show her that you liked her in a normal human way
• the 'im sure she appreciates you' line helps her re-evaluate her relationship and maybe even reconsider
• keep the communication lines open

that way in the future if/when she breaks up with her "serious boyfriend" she'll give you a call. This has happened to me numerous times with girls into me that had boyfriends at the time.

I wouldn't recommend chasing her. I'd say put her on the back-back burner and find more probable prospects.

My 0.02c

Dan
