I had to think about "non breaking circle".

When you don't break circle you are saying that she is more important to you than the person chiming in.
It's a big statement by itself.

Now though the biggest risk is if you let her break circle, because she'd be saying the person chiming in is more important than you.
You would come across diminished by such an interaction, all because you stuck with the circle.

So I feel not breaking circle is good when you feel she won't do it herself, otherwise you're better off engaging, neutralizing if possible, and then going back.

Thoughts?

Not breaking circle would be minimal at that point. Yes, you would be diminished in her eyes, but if she did it in the 1st place something else is going on / off. If she broke circle she probably just wasn't attracted enough.

Like anything, we have to play it by ear. This is the trickiest in yellow-light situations, because you could be just a few moments more from losing her or hooking her.

In a situation where she is yellow-light, then someone came up to you and you didn't break, she might follow your lead and likewise stay grounded in your interaction - that could even be the hooking point. Where as if you didn't, it'd hurt your attainability and you might lose her. Having a super-precise eye for that can be tough, though.

Probably a good rule of thumb. I'd just keep in mind that her willingness to do it herself could be impacted by yours.
