Hey guys,
I forgot to post one last interaction that I had last night that has still been on my mind. It went as follows:
I ran into one guy that I had met previously at this bar, and he was with a group of guys. I told this guy that I was out tonight talking to girls, and he tells me his buddy Justin *to his left* is great with girls as well. I ask Justin if he wants to open some sets and he says sure.
We're on the dance floor and see 3 girls standing there sipping their drinks ready to be approached. I can tell Justin has no approach anxiety because he immediately goes up and taps one of them on the shoulder. At the time, I was unfamiliar with styles of wing manning (a technique that I have since read up on) and go around him to directly approach the other two girls.
I give both girls several seconds of eye contact and get both of their names, however, I go directly into a deeper conversation with the one that is closest to me (the other one is kind of behind her). Meanwhile, this guy Justin and the third girl are still talking. As I go into a deeper conversation with one girl, I see that she is hooked. When her interest is high, I ask her to turn towards me and completely away from the third girl who is not getting any attention. This causes my girl to auto-reject and the whole set falls apart....
I am not experienced with using wingmen at all, and I feel like this interaction was a testament to that. Additionally, I think I should have engaged both girls equally while making my target subtly clear such that the third girl (5th wheel) would have time to think of somewhere to go/something to do in a low-pressure way.
If I am directly applying the GC methods of wingmanning, I should have stuck to the Two Buddy system with Justin. Given this, I should have also introduced myself to the third girl who Justin was talking to and allowed the 3 girls to get comfortable talking with us as a group of 5.
I am beginning to realize more and more that if you want to sleep with one girl and she is with any number of friends, you have to take care of her friends too in order to sleep with her. Please let me know if you have any thoughts on this as I am looking to study this more and understand it better for the future!
