I went to Home Depot to see if they had mulch. After grabbing a cart, I noticed a tall blonde in spaghetti straps with nice-looking breasts and a thin frame. From far away she looked hot, so I walked in the same direction, glanced back, then ducked into the bathroom to give her time to pass.

When I came back out, she was stalling near the registers. I checked her out again and realized she looked older than I first thought — maybe around my age, and not all that pretty. Still, I should’ve gone for it. She lingered by the registers the whole time I got my stuff. I even caught her glance at me when the cashier told me to head to register 4. But by the time I finished paying, she was gone.

On the way out, I saw three girls in the shopping center — two hot and one less attractive — eating ice cream together. I didn’t loop back to open, but I know I should have. Even if those specific girls weren’t there, it’s a good spot to Sarge, and I’m supposed to be keeping up my one-a-day approach habit.

Reflections & Lessons

  • Don’t disqualify too early: I hesitated when I realized she was older and not as pretty up close. But attraction fluctuates — I should’ve opened anyway. Lesson: stop overanalyzing looks mid-approach.
  • Recognize stalling as interest: She stayed by the registers and even glanced at me — clear green lights. Lesson: if a girl is hanging around, assume it’s on me to make a move.
  • Parents & groups are sticking points: I still hesitate when girls are with parents or friends. Lesson: I need to practice direct approaches in “high-pressure” situations instead of waiting for solo moments.
  • Keep the momentum: Even when I don’t feel like walking around, I need to push myself. Lesson: treat “circling once more” as part of the habit, not optional.

No leads today, but at least I’m keeping consistent. The real progress will come when I stop second-guessing and just act.
