Organising seminars to teach college students about this - good idea?

I was thinking about posting on the pick-up as a job thread, but that seemed to be more specialised to 1-1 training and personal coaching, instead of holding seminars/lessons.
(The main problem there seems to be that the target demographics who can afford 1-1 services are usually the type to be difficult to train).

I was thinking that once a mastered everything Girls Chase has to offer, I would like to teach a class of college students once a week about 'social etiquette' *wink wink*
I think once word gets around i'm teaching some legitimately important and exciting stuff, i'll limit my class sizes to 30 people per class and charge about £10/$15 per class.

One of my friends is a lecturer at a university and we're quite close. We could become business partners, and she could lend me a lecture hall to teach during evenings.

What do you think, guys? Good idea?

Oh, and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone here on the Girls Chase Boards :)

N.B. The great thing about Girls Chase is that it's so wonderfully varied. I can teach everything here (especially fundamentals) as just self-improvement and social skills, rather than hosting an obnoxiously-sounding 'how to pick up hot girls and sleep with them' lecture.

Youre getting ahead of yourself. First master these social skills, then worry about what to do with them.

Ryan,

DesiBro brings up a good point here. According to your own ranking system, you have quite a ways to go.

I honestly don't think you'd find much success in the seminar idea. Reason being that anyone could come online to a site like this one and search the info for free. The same info you'd offer in your seminars. The reason 1 on 1 is better is because someone is going out with you, assessing your strong and weak points, and advising you from there. They also force you to go out and open. This is, in many ways, similar to personal training at the gym. You pay someone for 1 on 1 time. Why go to a seminar for basic info you could find on many online sites or fitness magazines? A personal trainer assesses your fitness level, tailors a routine for your body type/ goals, and watches to make sure your form is perfect. Much like a PUA coach does.

Just my thoughts. Best of luck to ya if you decide to pursue it.

Is Meetup popular in your area?

You could host a meetup to "meet up" with like minded guys. Once you get a name for yourself you can then transition to hosting "How to Date Girls" meet ups. I think being the one that actually hosts the first type of group I was talking about will help you transition.

Never be afraid to be the person that puts everything together!

Ryan,

A suggestion. :)

Take some time and find friends who are reasonably good with women. Not many of them, (even Chase noted this himself.) but find guys who are natural, and men who knows Girlschase too.

You can take their numbers and arrange a "Circle of Influence" gathering one single day of the month. There you share information like here, but just that your friends will be there offline, that makes it even more profound, cool, and probably intimate.

Just don't take them home, though. :)

The endeavor of teaching is something which, by nature, is very different from learning and applying the skills yourself. You can't just learn things and expect to able to teach other people to learn them by simply relaying facts to influence them.

As Desi said, you're getting far ahead of yourself. If I may remind you, stay in the present. Your progression will slow significantly if you're constantly thinking about what you'll do once you're good with women. Instead of focusing on more pressing issues, you're off in fantasy land.

Believe it or not Ryan,

Teaching pick-up for profit (I talked to Chase about this myself) is about holding seminars. Renting out a place, holding a seminar where you speak for 2-4 hours to 100+ guys, then taking them in-field afterward is what Chase used to do, and it's what a lot of reputable pick-up artists have done.

Me, I've done in-field teaching that started with friends, and spread out a little bit, but I got tired of answering the same questions day after day, in-field session after session.

It's not as difficult as you may think, but it's certainly not as fulfilling as you'd think either.

Just my experience,

Pickup is always fulfilling when it is you who is doing it!

I remember ever since I was little I trying to figure out a job that would combine my passions and the ability to make money. That way I could always look forward to Monday instead of being anxious about it.

Looking back I wasn't really doing that. I was just picking jobs that looked like easy money. In the end they didn't workout.
