Though these aren't entirely mutually exclusive, there does appear to be a fair correlation between passion for an activity and the emotional desire for it to end fortuitously (with subsequent disappointment if it ends poorly). Do you think outcome independence has a negative effect on passion in some cases? What about in most cases?
