Frequenting the same bar I expected to see many of the same faces, but what I didn't expect was that those same faces would all know each other. This week I've been making an effort to pursue a girl I've run into a few times only to realise she's friends with a few acquaintances of mine. I wasn't worried about running into someone who's rejected me before, but knowing that rumours could spread does raise the stakes a little. On the other hand, if the friends know me and are willing to vouch for me that could certainly work to my advantage. Can anyone offer any insights on similar situations? It's early days yet, but if I can find my way into this group it could raise my social proof enormously, and give my social life a huge shot in the arm.

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake

This situation is very good for social proof. Some rejections will not be a problem here unless you do something wildly inappropriate. For instance, if a woman turned you down bc a bf, other women won't see that as a problem.
