Personal detail callbacks

I tend to listen and remember what people tell me. Small details about their lives. When talking to women I've sometimes referenced a personal detail they have forgotten they told me just as part of the conversation flow. The results are quite surprising. They'll sometimes suddenly get far more interested in me and even a little nervous. I'm guessing it's because most men are too focused on sex to actually pay attention? Sometimes I think they forget that they had even told me the information.

Curious if others have noticed/used this as a technique and any potential downfalls? It could come off as low value to some women, or potentially creepy?
