Picking up at parties or the “bump into”

I had a situation arise the other day. I was at a party with a few guy friends. A girl walked in thag was quite attractive. One of mu buddies went over to make a move but he wasn’t smooth enough and it failed. He went over there and leached on to this poor girl... i think their conversation lasted a solid 15 minutes and she was looking for a way out. I went over there and asked her if she’d like to grab a drink and got her out... we’ve been chatting since and things look good. I also had a situation happen where i bumped into an attractive girl i know at CVS. I said hi and we chatted but i feel like i was that guy that was sucking her into the endless convo. My question is, how do you make the most of these spur of the moment situations where you can “make it or break it with her?”

Set a date to meet back up. Get a number. Bounce to another spot. Instadate
"Hey I'm on my way to grab lunch. You can tell me more about your cousin Vinny."
" I need another beer and some fresh air, Come join me."
or
Leave her on a high point. Have a time constraint . Always have that in your mind.

"Hey I'm running some errands before I head over to a test review, but I'm headed down to O'Douls tonight to hear some music. You are welcome to join me."

None of this "we should hang out sometime" bullshit. Have a plan you are going to execute, and she needs to get the feeling that if she doesn't take advantage of it, some other girl will.
