Pickup game in college

Looking for any feedback, experience or tips on how to expand my horizons with girls in my lectures in college... How does one go about introducing themself to a girl without seeming overly creepy or just another guy? Specifically I'm thinking about girls in a lecture situation where there's little interaction.

I think I have a game plan for some girls in my discussion because there's group projects and more socialization there but anything here you can give too would be great.

In lecture hall, you just talk to them and build things up over the course of 3-5 classes.

First day of my lecture hall I positioned myself near a cute girl and said "Hey, I hear this professor is pretty sarcastic and fun, ever had her before?" and whether she says yes or no you've just broken the ice to talking to her and establishing some rapport.

Plus, given that it's a lecture hall and you're around people it's not unnatural or creepy to talk.

Keep it simple!
