Hello guys,

I read the Privacy Policy and it says that
We are committed to ensuring that any information you provide to us is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable measures and procedures to safeguard and secure the information that we collect.

I understand that your do your best to secure the site from any data breach or security vulnerability but I still wants to know if our data are encrypted; which means in case an hacker manages to break into the system and collect our data, will they be able to read those data ?

I also understand that we should not use real name or provide any personal information that can be used to identify us, but even without personal info, there are still many way to identify use based on our activity on the site:
  • Our IP address (From the Privacy Policy: "Your IP address is recorded when you perform certain actions on our site. Your IP address is never publicly visible.")
  • Our location (required for for guys who posted on Wingman Finder)
  • Email address
  • Credit Card or transaction records
This comes to my mind after I knew about the Netflix show about the Ashley Madison data breach

Anonymity on this site is important for obvious reasons. Chase is actually a big believer in privacy :)

I just want to make sure that our data are safe, I did not mean to bother anyone (this post can actually be answered by a simple "Yes, your data is encrypted" 😅 )

Thanks!
