Reengaging girls after no contact for a few weeks

So I met a girl in a retail store about 3 weeks ago. I approached her by commenting that I liked her scarf and then proceeded to ask about her (was she from around here, how she likes it, etc.) The problem however was that I was actually legitimately busy, I was on my way to work, and couldnt talk to her after waiting in line. So, I asked her for her number and said I'd like to talk to her more (I probably should have proposed a date, but day game is still new to me) and when I got to work I texted "it was nice meeting you, Name " to which she replied "The pleasure was all mine "

After work I started to text her and I don't know if I was tired or what, but I didn't really say anything interesting and the conversation stalled. I sort of forgot about this girl the next day and haven't texted her since.

However, I'm curious, is there any way I could try reengaging someone in this kind of situation? My guess is that its a lost cause but Ive started to enjoy the process of trying to meet women and would like to test myself.

Send her a really interesting over the top message that prompts her to respond, then ask her out on a date without getting dragged into lame text exchanges. You have to bust out a hail Mary at this point and reestablish her interest

Preferably use a callback.

Example; you were just on a gameshow and for the winning answer you had to determine what brand a particular scarf was. Luckily you were prepared due to your chance encounter with her at the store. Perhaps the two of you should get drinks to celebrate the enormous fortune you won
