Calls & Texts Relationship texting?

Do the general rules of texting go out the window at all when you are already in boyfriend territory? I was very straightforward to get the initial date, went well (no sex, but all things considered it went well) and now she does a lot of random texting, cutesy little shit, i miss you etc. I havent found ways to get out of these types of texting conversations without being a dick or seeming aloof. I already planned our second meet and she is very much looking forward to it, but all the same old texting shit in the meantime. Any thoughts?

Just respond to a few of her messages warmly. IF she sends 3, then you reply. Likely don't reply with "Hello Baby" and stuff. You get what i mean. You also don't want her to back out going out with you because you didn't text. If u send too much text, she will be accustomed to "too much text" and expect it from you after intimacy. That will be another problem.
