In my most recent thread. Casanova Jr. Mentioned sth about a girl teasing you in a supermarket by saying: "why are you shopping alone?" "You don't have any friends?" .
It also made me thing about other ways a girl might tease you:
- Why are you wearing this: t-shirt, jacket, shoes, jeans, watch, hat
- Why are you alone at a bar
- Why are you alone at a cafe
- Why are you doing this or that
- etc
I think there are 3 major you can respond to those verbally - in the case of why are you shopping alone, don't you have any friends:
- you think it'd be smart and say "I don't have any friends"
- start defending yourself "I do have friends but I prefer to shop alone"
- get insulted and go on the offensive "who are you to../ I can say the same for you - you're also here alone, what you don't have any friends?"
But I feel like every verbal answer you give is following her lead and is bad for you. Plus I don't think you should completely ignore her taking a shot at you.
I feel like the only way is to give her a bored look and slightly drift your attention else where. In a way to be not much reactive but to let her know that it's not cool to do that and it wont fly with you.
And then do you re-engage on some other topic OR you stay silent to build the social pressure and for her to break the silence?
Are there any occasions where you should answer verbally(maybe you're in a social group and she teases you in front of others and you should answer or idk)? What are
those? And how should you respond?
I'd love to hear your thoughts an inputs on the matter!
