Rewarding efforts: When you can't fake your appreciation

Let's say a woman gets really enthusiastic about sharing a video she thinks is really funny. You watch it with her, and it's so damn unfunny but you don't want to make her feel bad so you give your best courtesy laugh, but you can tell she can tell you're faking it and is subsequently hurt by it. What do you do?

P.S. Reminds me of how men get hurt when they find out their girls faked their orgasms, ha.
