So I noticed this girl walking while I was on my way to meet some coworkers. Approached direct, and noticed her accent. Found out she was from Romania, and got her number.
Texts were fairly basic. Only thing was she said she was only free on Friday, on Friday itself, so I suggested grabbing drinks. She wanted to go to a famous bar nearby, and since she was traveling and really wanted to go there, I said okay. I was touchy as usual, but not dominant, which I think was a mistake. I need to be more assertive and assured in my movements. The conversation was good and I think I'm getting better at deep diving, but the sexuality was not there yet. I did make some jokes about her being a cougar, which she laughed at (they all do), and I held her hand to look at her rings. I think some chase frames and less talking/more mysterious on my part would have been good.
The biggest thing was that I was in the rooftop for 3 hours without changing venues. A definite no-no and I won't do that again. I suggested we leave, but she wanted to see some stuff, so we had to wait for it to get darker. After we were hungry, so we went for some food nearby. After that, I suggested a walk by the river and some wine by my place, and she flat-out refused to come to my place, saying she wasn't that type of person. I should have gone to the river anyway, and gone for the kiss there, then a little later suggested going back to my place and persisted a little.
Still, it was a decent approach, and it was a good lesson for the future.
