Recently took a job doing sales for a large technology company and I've been reading books on larger scale sales to prepare - only sold smaller packages up in my past jobs. So far, Spin Selling is the best book I've come across. I'm wondering if anyone has read it and if they see parallels between the book and pick up? I'm also wondering if anyone has read any sales books that have helped their game with women a lot. There are so many relations between the two and I think it's fascinating. Curious if anyone has gotten more girls by learning sales.

Alleniverson,

Congrats on the job. I would say I've gotten more sales by learning girls rather than the other way around. There are surely many parallels but discernible differences as well. Exp. In sales your asking questions to uncover a pain point of the prospect whereas with women your asking questions to get to know her and build an emotional connection. In sales your building interest in something that will help them whereas with women your building their interest in YOU.

That being said SPIN is the best book for B2B sales I've come across. Learning to ask pointed questions is powerful. If your going to be doing a lot of phone prospecting I thought "Smart Calling" was a good read. I've heard a lot of good from Grant Cardone's books but never read them myself.

Me. Rob, thanks for the reply. I’ll have to check out Smart Calling. Way of the Wolf by Jordan Belfort is another I found entertaining and probably relates to game more with personal momentum and emotion.
