Calls & Texts Salvaging Shy Girl #s

Hey everybody,
I've gotten really good at getting #s, but I've noticed that some don't reply to icebreaker texts not because they're not interested but because they just can't. I know that if I play the numbers I will soon enough get a date, but I've been made aware of how I waste some #s that I could have otherwise gotten some juice out of and I'd like to work on converting these.

Basically, a solid # will be very straightforward. Meet, icebreaker, she responds to some effect, we schedule a date, yes, yes, yes... date
Other #s don't lead anywhere. Sometimes it may be because she simply wasn't interested, others she was visibly interested yet doesn't reply anyhow.

I've been paying attention to results v reactions in every micro-situation, and for this one girl I met recently I'm confident she likes me because:
We noticed each other waiting in line, she immediately looked down
I opened her soon after, warm response
I got bored and cut conversation, she reengaged
I turned it sexual, she loved it
I told her I had to go and we agreed to a date, so I took her #
Yet she didn't respond to my icebreaker within a whole day, and my experience shows me that without a doubt I never get dates with girls who don't respond to my first text.

Normally, I would not care and go get a new # until I find a yes-girl, but I want to stop wasting these.
What would be the best way to get her more comfortable so that we can set up a meet? Does anybody have a good process for these kinds of #s?

Yet she didn't respond to my icebreaker within a whole day, and my experience shows me that without a doubt I never get dates with girls who don't respond to my first text.

I say this all of the time on here, but 1 day isn't a long enough wait (especially for shy girls). 1 week is really the appropriate wait time to start "worrying." But, I've also had a handful of girls not text me until 2 weeks or more. I usually see 2 weeks as the cutoff point, and if it's more than 2 weeks, I consider it dead.

In this scenario, it sounds like you made a strong impression, and she actually might be nervous/shy.

Probably general rule should be...if you really hit it off with a girl and she hasn't responded in half-week to a week, then send her another text. If she doesn't respond to that in a day or 2, then call her.

If you live in the USA, she might be busy with a long weekend since Labor Day.

If you feel like you just can't wait, then text or call her tomorrow. (Maybe call since not responding to texts.)

Absolutely right. I was going off a historic string of 6 failures of this variety so I was pessimistic about it but nothing is concrete like that. Asymmetric returns. She responded this time with double !! points and is looking forward to meeting up next week since she has exams now and I've got a trip planned for the weekend.

This convo was in spanish so I'm not going to post it word by word, but after not getting a reply to my icebreaker the spanglish equivalent of:
"Hey x, good/cool/nice meeting you today/yesterday - T"

I texted her 2 days later with: (sloppily translated to English, just enough to communicate the sentiment)
"Hey x, how do you see your week? Too much work? I'm going on a trip Friday and it'd be swell to see each other before"

She told me that yes she's super busy studying for exams and asked me when I return.

I knew I got a great prospect when I met her, but after not getting a response I basically forgot about her. Now it feels like it's in the bag. Funny how this works, and I'd write down my takeaways from this lesson but you've already laid them out. Spot on.
