For probably a lot of reasons, I struggle with the time between the first date and the second.
I think it's all in my head. If I get a reply to a text that's shorter than what I wrote to her, I read into that and start labeling her as losing interest or getting cold, and I think that makes me panic and come off as desperate... I start to worry about when and how often to call or text her, what I should say, how long the messages should be... I really get in my own head. And this happens even when I have other women in my life.
I believe my biggest issue comes with suggesting our next get together once or twice. If she's not available, I feel that I start looking desperate but continuing to throw out times and places... Is it a bad idea to put the ball in their court by saying something like "Let me know when you're free next and we can work something out?"...
So what's everyone's mindset going into these situations? Do you keep it casual? Do you mention the sex (if you had it) even if just vaguely? Do you come right out and suggest another meet up? Do you chat the same way you were before the first date? Do you ask for her schedule?
