Today I was texting a girl that is not a native english speaker (neither me), due to language barrier I made a rude comment:
"you don't use the word "is" and that makes me crazy"

I mean that her language, the russian language doesn't use the word "is" (they say the banana yellow instead of the banana IS yellow) and the language is what makes me crazy, she answered "yes, I make a lot of mistakes" but probably she understood she was making a lot of errors when writing. Then after some minutes she didn't make any other comment, I think she was upset, but after many minutes I realized what I wrote, we didn't had any other comment after that.

I don't feel I was rude at all, but she misunderstood it, she won't tell me, maybe she's expecting I notice it.
So the question is, should I apologize?

If she said that long ago (like yesterday), leave it alone. If she's not texting you until then, when you hit her up for logistics just make a "not a big deal" like you just saw it and change subject quickly:
Her: I make a lots of mistakes
You: Haha, I didn't mean in that way, it's just that I find it cute. So anyways, about that coffee...

If it's been a couple hours and sending her a text might seem like you just grabbed you phone and saw her text (i.e. you do not violate the law of least effort), then doing the cute thing is OK.
