Should we care about anything, other than our goals and ambitions, and how to achieve them?

Hi, Everyone.

Apologies if this has been asked before. If it has, then please direct me to the relevant thread or article.

My question is: Should we really care about anything, besides things that actually help us to achieve our goals and ambitions and progress in our life? I mean, I find myself seeing, knowing, and consuming all this information about current politics, war in Ukraine, gender issues, covid regulations, celebrity scandals, woke culture bullshit, this/that, etc. on a regular basis. I am now just tired of caring or even knowing all these things.

The thing is: I am starting to feel like knowing all these things just seem absolutely worthless, and do not help us in any shape or form, but rather only evoke anger, sadness, rage, feeling of helplessness, or rarely satisfaction or joy. I think they are just massive distractions that take away important time from our life. The time that could be used to better ourselves, work on our goals, or even do things that brings happiness.

So, I wanted to know how do you maintain a healthy balance between just being aware of things happening around us, not letting them suck our time, while massively progressing in different areas of our life: health, finance, relationships, etc. One fear I have is that I won't be able to talk with other people if I don't know the current trends, events or news happening in our daily life.

Or will it be wise to completely cut off from the present happenings or mainstream media, and just focus on the things that actually matter? Like, I use social media due to Fear of Missing Out things on trends or current news or that I won't be able to remain in contact with friends. Should I stop using social media or any other forms of mainstream media altogether?

I think that's what Zac is trying to do :)

And I firmly confident that if Chase is smart, he will make the Girlschase business, cultural.

The future of all customers problems, is saving time. And that means all businesses, and people in general, you and I, must solve each other's problems and as many problems as we can.

Example:
Girlschase must create a universal framework that then branches into dating, business, friends, and so on. Something which I am doing right now with my blueprint. I'm planning to convert 7.8 billion people into my peasants. :)

Sometimes it’s good to test your own resolve. For example, talking to strange women. Everyone wont agree with this, YOU might not even agree with it on an internal level. Maybe you do, but it’s not really solidified.

Everyone’s beliefs are moldable to some extent, but exposing yourself to things that cause you self doubt or negative emotion can help your resolve also. It’s kind of like jumping in the deep end of a pool, negative stimuli will either cause you to sink or swim.

A good example is here, https://www.skilledseducer.com/threads/food-court-frame-battle-i-win.25967/#post-146685
One of our members posted a FR that had some pretty valuable examples. But it was derailed by what is objectively a social loafer with a strongly presented (although wrong) case (frame). When your frame inevitably clashes with anothers and you doubt yourself, you can either sink into despair or double your belief in yourself.

At the end of the day only you know who you are. And only you should be able to influence how you feel about yourself and the world.

I guess what i’m trying to say is you should be able to expose yourself to outside things without becoming enraptured in them and losing your goals.

You would be amazed how little you really need to know about news and politics to connect with people.
Try it, you won’t regret.

(Note: I would, however, suggest you splurge a little on pop culture… you are likely to have more upbeat and enjoyable conversations talking about the latest Marvel movie than the war in Yemen)

I would agree until you meet younger millennials and Gen Z.

Added Sidenote

Older Millennials
- job
- business
- wife/partner
- family
- investment

Younger Millennials/Gen Z
- who to shit on, next
- what to virtue signal, next
- what trend to follow, next
- who is the next cultural clout to follow, next.

I'm not inclined to share what younger millennials and Gen Z have exposed to me with their behavior. The data is amazing and it's literally super easy to abuse human beings.

They are like headless chickens running
.
Covid just exposes that data. (Excerpt inspired from Michael Malice)

Short answer is no

Watch sports highlights of UFC and Football to relate with guys and dabble in reality TV to relate with girls.

News x1 a week is more than enough to stay up to date

Rest of the time is focused on you :)

Sounds like you've been consuming too much outrage porn. We should care about how treat others in direct interactions and about helping make the world a little bit better for having us in it. That doesn't mean care about every issue in the media. Pick 1 or 2 ways of giving back to the world and focus on that. Reduce time spent on reading about news. Watching long form podcasts like from Lex Fridman is a good way to stay somewhat aware of the current world.

+1 on this!

That works!

To relate with guys you can also talk about girls...and vice versa :)

Even better, spend 0x a week on news. Get the info from the people you talk to.

They'll love sharing their opinion, and then all you gotta do is:
1.) Nod
2.) Agree / be neutral
3.) Point the conversation towards their more personal interests

Take a break from all media for a week, leave only necessary communicators. Spend some time living your life without screens, and relax... go for a walk in the nature, feel the wind on your skin, smell the fresh air, look up into the sky... and let it all out. Find yourself enjoying the present moment.

Our time is too precious to ultimately waste it worrying about the problems we cannot fix and media expect us to fear. It's your life, god damn it! Let's rock!
