Hey guys,
I'm reading girlschase since 2/3 years now, it helped me a lot, so I feel like contributing a bit myself now!
I'm about to finish my exchange semester in Guadalajara, Mexico. Have been here from August till now (December) and for the next three months I will travel the rest of Mexico and head over to Colombia. To have a reference point: I got laid with 11 girls here: 8 from Tinder, 1 from social circle and 2 from cold approach. Before coming to Mexico I only did a little bit of cold approach and mainly social circle in my home country Germany. In the last time I improved my fundamentals quite a bit + with the foreigner bonus and the extra attention it brings, it got me very motivated to approach more.
Main lessons learned this semester: You don't die from approaching a girl in a club/bar, Mexican girls are suuuper flaky, Tinder is a gold mine
Pros: Mexican girls are exotic, Mexico is cheap, The sex here is great
Cons: Girls flaky as hell, you need to find the good spots to find pretty girls. During the day there's a lot of ugly ones. If you know where to go though, there's some real gems (Can highly recommend Lola Lolita)
Just have to write about this: Mexican girls can literally drive you nuts, because they don't tell you what the real deal is. I just had a long conversation with a Mexican friend who explained it to me like this: Imagine you meet a girl in a bar/club, but for whatever reason don't manage to pull her at the same time, but get the number and agree to meet on a date. So for example you meet the girl on saturday and on tuesday you make plans for friday. For this girl at the moment you are the only plan, but during the week there will be her male friends, female friends and you may go down to plan C. So if you're lucky her other plans don't pan out and you get to see her. But if you're not lucky, she will tell you sth like "I'm sick, my aunts/cousins spontaneously came to visit, my grandmother died, I spontaneously went to the beach" blablabla. It happens so frequently, that I even stopped reading their excuses.
The main problem with this is, that they sometimes only tell you 20min before the scheduled time or in rare cases not even tell you at all, so for me as being used to quite reliable Germans it was a very different experience here.
Counter-measures you can take: Schedule 2-3 dates at the same day to reduce the chances of ending up empty-handed and in nightlife aaaaalways try to close the same evening. Dates from Tinder seem to be way more reliable because there's a lot of girls there, which are too busy with work and thus don't get hit on as much and don't have as many plans every week. I guess you can also reduce this phenomenon the better your fundamentals are though it will not completely eliminate it. I have a German natural friend who lived here as well and to him it happened exactly the same, although he's very good looking and charismatic.
Hope this post helps others who come here! In general I can highly recommend Mexico. The food is great, people are extremely friendly and social, there's lots of great parties, the weather is amazing and if you manage to catch a cutie, they are naughty little animals.
