Here's an issue which may bring up some interesting opinions. The place where I am from, some clubs only have people who are aware and know others in the club. People don't go to the club with the intention to be bit upon rather they just want to enjoy a night out with friends, so hitting on somebody is little awkward there. So how do I deal with this situation ?.
Bring something to the table, like "fun" and meet everyone. Similar in this town but you will always get your 2 set of girls that doesn't go out often. If you know everyone in the club then you can approach this set with confidence.
