Snapchat

Snapchat seems to be increasingly popular with girls my age (roughly early to mid 20s) and I'm wondering what people thought about it. I am hesitant about using it, but then again I am not an overt fan of facebook either as it can reveal too much and kill some intrigue

I deleted Snapchat. The main reason? It shows the other person when you are opening their message.

Girls can use this to see if you are checking their messages and how quickly/often you are checking your phone. I hate that -- the same way I hate how other iPhone users can see when you've checked their text messages. It removes too much intrigue. Girls will tell you they hate when guys don't have iPhones because they can't see when their messages are viewed... which is exactly why I love having an Android.

i usually just snapchat with my guy friends, not with girls.

I think that it does kill intrigue, BUT i have used snapchat to send a random picture to girls who i haven't talked to in a while just to get their attention if i haven't seen them in ages
