No worries and I see where you're coming from. These days I'm open to all avenues it's all in the way you want to go about things. The thing about it, I thought like you when I first started using Tinder. However I was looking at it as a game, I was taking the rejections personally. It's more something me and my friends joke about to be honest. I actually have the same thoughts of you and I encourage guys not to limit themselves to just one standard of approach. You have to use all your tools and still show yourself as a sexy man no matter what path you take. I live in a city where snowstorms are all too common which makes cold approaching women relatively hard at times. So, I'm always looking for new ways to find women.

Fundamentals: I used a number of techniques to make this interaction happen actually haha . . . it just looks simple
*You gotta know how to talk to a girl
*Know how to text a girl and close
*Dress well and have that overall sexy vibe
*A lot of guys get into lengthy conversations via text over Tinder or any online dating forum
*A lot of guys can't convey their sexiness and push for an in person meeting
*Intrigues interests, girls have actually come up to me and my guys friends and talked about how we have girls liking our photos and such. It's a different type of preselections
*A good number of guys don't know how to escalate physically . . . my friend pointed out to me today that I could've been friend zoned by the girl if hings went awry.
*Working smarter not harder, I look for girls who are the most receptive to me and physically attracted to me. It keeps me from wasting time, I can move onto girls who have interest in me.

Unorthodox: I have a very unorthodox method and I sometimes display the more controversial sides of pick up. Either way though you asked an interesting question and raised an interesting point. Sometimes people won't agree with what you do and I except that. At the end of the day, there are many different ways of solving a problem. This was just showing a different approach that problem. I encourage people to do what feels right for them. I had actually see questions on the forum about guys getting dates on Tinder, I simply wanted to show them that LR's were possible through the app if you go about it the right way.

Drex and Byronic have a lot of experience when it comes to getting girls via more "pure" online interactions.

If it really is more like the Tinder approach, then I would recommend following the more texting style openers. Such as "Hey Amanda, hope your weekend was good. " The idea is to feel her out and see if she has some interest in you. From there you want to text her to meet up with you. It's also a good idea to grab numbers as soon as possible to move the interaction off the app. This way you can screen out time wasters, if a girl truly wants to be meet up with you she will. A lot of guys make the mistake of trying to build some serious rapport via online dating and these apps like Tinder. The only problem the longer you wait to ask a girl out and make a move the faster you lose her.

It's not that it's novel, or that I don't like it (I think it'll be a great tool once i become more advanced), but for me (and most people on this forum i'm sure) it's a crutch. It's like riding a bike with stabilisers or visiting escorts for sex. Yeah, it's easier, but it doesn't create a rounded, masterful, approach genius exactly, does it? Which is why i'm here in the first place. Chances are, i'll be stuck on that with no intention to make more than 1 or 2 approaches a day (where would the motivation be to do more?), and the only time i'll receive dates/sex is through that app. So my learning curve will shallow out and it'll take ages to get where i want to be.

Of course, with someone like Just_Dave who's more or less nailed approaching, this is less of an issue. But for at least 2/3 of the forum members here (who are at a similar situation like me), where approaching is still horrible, it's just a really tempting distraction. And with a heavy heart, i realised I had to say goodbye to all the pretty girls and delete the app. It's bad stuff for a beginner/intermediate like me.

This is my take.

It depends on what you're looking for out of a girl. You want a quick thing with a girl who's willing? Online approach could be for you. Now, are you gonna learn approach, pre opening, deep diving? Probably not. What will you learn? Moving fast, text compression, and closing skills. However, the chances of you meeting a girl who has her life on lock with Her future thought out? Slim. You're going to get present hedonist women who will probably put up token resistance because they want quick sex, or present hedonist women who want instant validation over the web that most likely won't move forward with you.

If you don't like this approach, don't use it, just know there is some things to be learned from it, and some things you will miss out on.

I said that the chances of learning approach, pre opening, deep diving, etc was close to nil, which is why this way is so harmful for beginners like myself who have gone through 200 rejections without getting a single date.
This is the equivalent to steroids at the gym - a really, really tempting easy pass to get what you want with loads of drawbacks. Would you take steroids starting out? Probably not. Would you take steroids when you're feeling bitter and frustrated after recurring failures? Perhaps. And this forum, has a lot of bitter and frustrated people (including myself).And the unfortunate thing is, naturals who have already had so many lay reports, don't realise what unnaturals like myself have to give, to even get this far. To even get a girl's number. To go out knowing you'll be rejected x amount of times and probably not succeed for months. Which is why Tinder is like crack cocaine as an escapist method to beginners/unnaturals, which is why i didn't like Just_Dave endorsing it. If i make a habit of using it, why even bother coming back to this site?

Of course there are benefits to tinder, which is why i said it'll be good once i become advanced (like Just_Dave), but right now, it's poison that'll ruin my learning curve. And a really appealing poison too.

This is how you react to her trying to frame in things. If a girl says something that doesn't meet up with the frame that you want to impose, then come right back with your own frame. Her frame was pretty weak, and her true desire poke through in an instant.

I don't know about you, but I personally love it when things are made easier for me. If I'm horny and a sexy girl knocks on my door, drops her pants, and says fuck me, and I have the choice of that or go pick up a woman, I'm choosing the easier option. If you want something, take the path of least resistance. Instead, define your goals, and head towards them. Want to meet a girl with specific criteria? Do it that way. Ryan, I'd like to give you my perspective on Tinder. Like you, I'd say I'm something of a beginner when it comes to picking up women. I never had much confidence with approaching, opening etc. but after using Tinder for a while and going on a few dates with girls it gave me more confidence with girls generally and I found myself opening and approaching a lot more women in the conventional sense than I otherwise was beforehand. I think it's a great tool to get some experience.

I've been on a lot of dates off Tinder and in most cases, they don't turn out to much because we don't share the same interests or whatever. However, I have had a number of good results stemming directly from using Tinder, but I think more importantly - and perhaps this is applicable to you - I have had some great results from using conventional methods due to the confidence and experience I gained from using Tinder. I'd recommend giving it a shot simply for its potential to get experience and confidence with girls that will help you later on down the track as it has helped me.

Just a thought.

I live in the suburbs and just graduated college, so meeting girls my age remains difficult. 90% of my cold-approaches have been girls in their 30's or older. I'm not going to get into this Tinder debate, I see nothing wrong with it and don't know what the fuss is all about. The only serious concern I'd have (for myself—this has zero bearing on you or anyone else) is that I work with a lot of attractive young women and I'm kinda unique-looking, easy to recognize from my photo and difficult to mix up with someone else. So if any of these babes who mostly live nearby happened to be on Tinder too and stumbled across my profile, it'd look bad for me. Good question! Yes, I could have but with the snow storm, I wasn't trying to make it an all night affair my car actually almost got stuck in her parking lot and I had to dig it out with my snow brush.

I'll have to give both a try and see what I come up with as well. Although with the semester starting soon I'm not sure how it'll play out
