Hey everyone, I just found out about an hour ago. I'm a bit freaked out, but still with the, "I WILL handle anything coming my way and will be a strong and leading and loving father. I'm 21 and she's 25 with a daughter (7 years old) which is great because she's not freaked about it.

We're living together at her moms, she used some drugs before and was homeless as was I, (I wrote a post on that) but she's doing fucking great. Has two jobs, has called up her old nursing school and is ready to take on the world again. (I'm not being naive about any of this... I will add) through experience in leading cross country trips and shit, I can tell when someone is genuinely interested in getting their shit together.

I'm getting my trucking license and just landed a sweet job making $15.

I stopped pulling out because she said she couldn't get pregnant anymore (my fault, all good).

I need to glue my ass to the drivers seat on this one. It's given me a sense of purpose, drive, and direction. To provide and get what I want and need out of life to make it all go well. She has an appt at the OB on Monday, but I'm prepping.

I'm just a little concerned that my goals are somewhat shot now.

Trying my best to stay calm and cool.

Any words of wisdom?

A million thanks,

ST

You don't need to stay with her, you know.

In fact, i find her very charming to put you in such a position. :) She's very smart.

Use this experience powerfully, it can make you a better man. Well, it definitely did for me - it forced me to get off my ass and work on my life, goals and dreams after a year or so of negligence.
Also, get a paternity test just in case.

I totally will. Thanks for the insight, Grand Poob. So far, all is going well.
