I was visiting a market some time ago with my family. I wasn't really in the mood for day gaming, because 1. We were in a different town so logistics 2. I was with my family and I respect them, don't want to start doing games in these times. So instead, I was adamant to just be on the lookout but nothing more.
I was visiting this one stall, grabbing a coffee with my family.
As I approached the queue, I noticed that there were several young women serving at the stall (Young women as guns for hire? "Who would've thought?"). As I was in the queue, I noticed that one of the girls - the prettiest in the group, was looking at me while serving another customer. I smiled casually but I had to admit, the girl was really beautiful.
Light tan, healthy blonde hair and a beautiful face.
Eventually it came my turn and I stepped in front of the girl. We both smiled widely to each other. Then,
"Don't bother. I already bought your coffee."
With a mild surprise (and a mild disappointment for the missed opportunity) I looked as my mother was already walking away, waiting for me to come with her.
I looked to the girl - who was still smiling but was a bit humoured by the situation - and said to her, accompanied by a mildly embarrassed laugh,
"Well, I guess I go then.."
Hours went by and some of the stalls were beginning to close. I approached another stall with my family.
Then I noticed it - it's the same girl again!
She had moved to serve at this stall, but she was between my queue and another one, so I had about 50 percent chance to get served by her - and get finally talking to her.
I kept looking at her, when she eventually noticed me. And at that moment I knew she remembered me, as she had a very genuine smile at her face, like she was actually happy to see me again. This all happened while she was serving a customer. After she had server her customer she fixed her hair as if preparing to look good for the upcoming confrontation. This time I was alone in my queue, so there wouldn't be any "interruptions".
But luck turned against me as I heard, "Mister, you can come here."
It was a different girl, who didn't really evoke any kind of emotions in me.
But as she was serving me, I managed to sneak peek the pretty girl's name tag. "Wow. It actually has the whole name in it.", I thought to myself.
The girl sailed in my thoughts for the rest of the day. I had noticed that I was lifting her to a pedestal.. In the end, she's just a normal girl. Only happens to be smoking beautiful.
I knew that I wouldn't encounter her anymore, but I had to get her out of my thoughts somehow.
So I actually went and sent her an FB message. Just a few compliments and a "thank you", plus a short description of myself (so she would connect me to the person).
Then I remembered that FB uses a system where messages from "non-friends" are sent straight to a "spam mail/trash bin" where one has to go and separately check if there's any mails there. No notifications, nothing.
It's basically like sending a bottle mail to a person. There's no quarantee that this person will ever going to get to read it.
So I thought for a small while of actually going and adding her as a friend, "to make sure that she will get the message". But then I thought I would end up looking like a creep or a stalker, so I declined myself of doing it.
Plus, logistics still suck, so why even bother..
Now I still can't get her out of my thoughts.. And you know what that means.
Time to go and meet new girls.
