Standing sets

Guys, I just realised.

In daygame, I have a huge aversion to standing sets. On my last daygame session, I saw an hb9 just standing there and it felt too much like a trap to approach her.

How do you tackle these in cold approach?

It seems too much to run up and tell her she looks great.

I saw the same hb9 walking and looking at herself in the mirrors, I just couldn't approach her either walking or standing.

But even with more average chicks I can't approach them standing.

Don't run up. It makes sense for a moving set but you come across as weird if you run up to a girl just standing there.

Walk up. Casually. This is also good for your energy as it makes you more relaxed which makes her more relaxed.
Walk up as if she is someone you already know and just start speaking.

indirect - hey, can I ask you a question?...
direct - hey, I was just on my way to the bookstore and I noticed you standing there and I said to myself, wow, that girl is really cute. I just had to come over and say hello...

But there's always something. It's the mind playing tricks. Fear will adopt any clothing i.e. thought.

1. she's walking too fast
2. she's standing still
3. she's walking in the same direction, I can only stop them when she's coming from the opposite direction
4. she's too young
5. she's too old - nah, you're right, move on!
   
6. she's too tall
7. she's too short
8. etc.

At the end of the day, the bigger problem is within. I'm not saying specific techniques in specific situations can't help. They can. But technique is not the issue here. It's what's going on inside your head.

i have the same aversion to girls standing around. It does feel like a trap. The amount of times i've approached girls, complimented them and they've been receptive flirting back only for some guy to show up and make it awkward as hell.

One thing i've found that helps is asking who she's waiting for before showing intent.
