Calls & Texts Strange text?

Hey, met a girl Saturday night and exchanged numbers. Nothing special besides that so yeah, not having high hopes right there but then again you can still try. Sent an icebreaker on Sunday "hey, hope you got home save - nino" Didn't expect a response and didn't really know when to hit her up again because this week actually is going to be rather busy for me. Anyway, today I got "Hey I somehow missed your text yesterday sorry!" (maybe it helps to know that it was via WhatsApp? Something you do check more regularly actually)

How the hell am I going to respond to that, if at all?? And what do you guys think that's supposed to mean?

Really throws me off right now

I never make it a big deal. In fact, if I'm dating a lot of women, then it really isn't, and I just laugh it off. This only bothers me if I'm only dating 1 woman, and then I have to remind myself to be carefree and roll with it.

There was something I read from one of Chase's articles... basically, you want to always be the guy she enjoys talking with. If you bring up a lot of negativity, then she's going to associate you with negativity. It's always best to just roll with it and be the guy that she associates with being positive and emotionally strong. This was also in a GC article about being with a girl that has a boyfriend. If she associates her boyfriend with negativity and conflict, then she'll desire to be with you instead -- the guy that causes less stress and more comfort.

Imagine if she really is busy and actually is having issues with friends, family, work, school, etc. You never want to respond with a hateful/bitter message.

Just be like, "No problem Just been enjoying life here. When are you free this week? We'll grab coffee and talk about the trouble you've been getting into "

(I stole the "trouble" line from The Tool I think; it's a great line.)

Or, if you want to be a little bolder, "Missing me already! When are you free this week for a date? I need to take you out so that you don't miss me again."

Or just something like this using your own style and wit, and if she doesn't respond, no big deal. Just work on other girls until she responds.

If she responds late again, then be nice again, no big deal. If it is wearing you down or getting you upset, then just cut contact.

Hey thanks for the answer PN I think the first text should work just fine (given that we didn't have that much of a connection, really..and me being super drunk). Just about trial&err on this one
