A few weeks ago I tried to wink every woman who would make eye contact with me when I walked past her.
As this was my task I looked every woman who walked towards me into the eyes.
What I noticed: No woman would even make eye contact. They instantly looked down or away and never made eye contact. The only exception were very confident women.
Further: When not looking directly at a woman and keep walking toward her, then just before I pass looking into her eyes - I caught a lot of women looking into my eyes. When I returned the glance though, they would again look down or to the side.
I think my gaze intimidated most women. Even most men won't make eye contact when I look at them like this.
I guess my eye contact is just too intense.
