How do i keep motivated at a time of bad luck, keep positive mindsets, not be angry/sad and improve when hurt? Thanks :)

Hey g.c forum members,

My stolen issue has been resolved. I bought my smartphone Saturday and it will be my tool to communicate on here regularly from now on. I haven't been on here so long now and have slackened up on my new year resolution to update my journal and field reports regularly . I didn't have my own private device to do this but now I do have it so I have no excuses to not be posting I here regularly. I am holding myself accountable.

Since my tablet was stolen I learnt a number of invaluable lessons that I'd like to share ( though I hope most of you already follow if f you use cell phone/tablet (I think it can be used with any device ). Here they are:

1) Install drop box on your device and put the settings to automatically update photos when you take them.

2) Use Google maps and ser your exact location on your phone.

3) I would recommend downloading app protector, mobile number tracker, app hider, mobile phone tracker, phone skipper, anti theft as extras to prevent your files in case of theft.

Overall I learnt a good lesson and don't think it will happen again. I'm also posting here to make myself accountable that up will be on the forums at least three days a week. Anyone has anymore tips to share, please do.

Cheers,

Troy

I am using Sony Xperia Z1. Mine has an own tracker. Certain phones have it, like the Iphone too. Dropbox is good stuff, but colornote also. Keylock or password lock can be helpful, but important datas, try to store at home or online storage like Dropbox that is reliable.

i am reviewing google drive for my notes, since people given it a decent amount of bad reviews. :)

Hey ZacAdam,

I was at school one morning sometime in March and we were having devotion. I had put down my bag as custom in the lunch room and went out to use the bathroom then come back to go to devotion. The lunch room/cafeteria is right next to the bathroom and I was gone for about a minute. By the time I came back, I saw my bag open and my tablet gone. The funny thing is that I had $6 U.S. on top of my tablet and the thief (s) took only the tablet. I would have prefer rd they at least take the money alone *sigh*.

At my school it is NORMAL to leave our bags almost anywhere and go walk around, buy lunch e.t.c. so I didn't even think for a second that something like this would happen I leave my bag there all the time. The strange thing is that I don't per se carry things like this to school because I find myself on guard to protect my stuff since it cost so much. I guess I carried it the wrong day and should not have put it down. I learned a big lesson though and I don't think I will allow anything like this to happen again.

Since I am in high school and I don't have any job, I didn't have the funds to buy it readily so I had to save my lunch money every school day. I could only save U.S. $3.50 a day. My lunch money is U.S. $4 so I stayed gun dry every day day and walked home (about 2 miles) for 2 months then when I finally bought it, after having it for about a five weeks, it was stolen. That's what happened. It stung like poison for a next 2 weeks and I went in a period of serious depression after thinking that life was out to gat me and the game was not for me.

Well I'm happy to say now that I've recovered and it taught me something that I sure won't forget the rest of my life.

By the way, I used U.S. currency since it's universal now to understand but I'm from the Caribbean, and I should have put above that I'm I'm my last high school year now. And thanks for sharing those tips. I found it useful, and I'm using the Huawei Y330 smartphone.

Cheers,

Huawei is good and upcoming brand in Asia and the United States, i presume. I think it started appearing about 5 years now. Oh btw, Carry a washbag (a male handbag) when going to lunch. No need to find an expensive one but one that looks like a washbag is good enough.

Thanks for the kind gesture Zac. Wrestling Cards? That's cool then I guess you might be a fan of WWE. See you around on the forums and I appreciate you asking about how my tablet got stolen.

Cheers
