Talking about your ex girlfriend

Hey GC team,
I have been following this site for a year. It has changed my perspective to see the world and ofcourse, it brought a lot of positivity in my life.
I have a question. I met a girl one month ago and succeed to pull her for two dates. But on second date I told her about my ex girlfriend that how I lost interest in her.
Now I am thinking is it going to harm my future relationship with this present girl? Is it okay to talk about your ex? If not, then pls tell me what should be my next move?

Talking about the ex isn't a deal breaker but the manner which you did is not advisable. telling a new girl that you lost interest in your ex communicates that it could happen again. Now she's thinking "oh he is going to lose interested in me also... maybe I should just not waste time"

It's the same as job interview. You don't go in and tell them you got bored of your last job so your looking for a new one.

Personally, I only bring up my ex when forced into the conversation, and even then I don't say much. It makes you more mysterious, and if you play yourself as "damaged"... it makes you appear very Byronic
