Hello folks,

I'm starting my own business where I am the tech guy and will fulfill the CTO role. Do you think having a female CEO can be a problem? She's more the talker type and, despite holding a tech degree, doesn't want to do any tech work. It's the first start-up of both of us and we have good chances to be backed up by venture capital.

Unfortunately we've already had some arguments. I try to communicate as clearly as possible however we often have alignment and communication problems. This situation doesn't make me happy.

As there's little formality between us (company hasn't been incorporated yet), we can broke up this relationship and move on. However as the start-up's idea is innovative, I may end up losing a good opportunity to make a lot of money (which I need). We're both in an accelerator programme, which prohibits teams to broke up after a certain date (which is now past). If we break up anyway, the team will no longer be eligible to VC funding.

It's certain that I'm going to be the only one to get the hands dirty with hard tech. I tried to encourage her to read some background material on the tech, but even that she didn't show interest.

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake
