I do mainly text game and can navigate lots of situations that come up, but one continues to frustrate me. That is when a girl says something like "haha" or responds with an emoji--basically, responding with a non-response. I find that almost every time I reply to things like this, I'm dead in the water. The reason seems to be that these replies are kind of like breadcrumbing, showing something that could be interest without actually committing or contributing anything. By responding, you automatically show more interest than her, she decides you're a chump and the conversation dies. The best solution I've found to this is not responding. Usually, the girl won't respond either, but maybe 10-15% of the time, she'll actually show interest again and start the conversation back up, probably after realizing she has inadvertently ended it and actually wants to keep talking. I would prefer a solution that works more than 10-15% of the time, though.
What do you guys think? Can you basically assume you're finished when a girl responds with "haha," "oh," "wow," an emoji, and so on, or is there something else you can do?
