Text Help

Hey guys, I'm new to the boards but have been reading GirlsChase for some time.

As far as I know, texting should be used for 2 things:
1. Getting a date
2. Setting up logistics

And nothing else.

About a month I was out of town and I was staying with my friend when I hooked up with this girl. I went back to place because I didnt want to bring her to my friends house. But the next day I got her number and that was pretty much it. I text her later that night and said I had a good time with her, blah blah blah. Thats it. I didnt try to have a conversation or anything. I just said nice to meet you.

Im going to visit my friend again and I decided to text that girl. I told her I was coming for the weekend but she said that she was actually going to be out of town herself. I just said how about next time I'm out there, you and I can hangout and grab a bite to eat? She said yeah sounds good. I figured next time I was there I could remind her of it and set up logistics. After she said yes, I was going to ignore her because my goal was simply to get a date and nothing else. But this girl keeps texting me?? She is trying to have a conversation over text. She asks how Ive been, what sports I like, and other stuff. From everything I have read, having a conversation over text is a rule breaker. Should I keep responding to her? Or just ignore it. Shes a cute girl, and definitely doesnt seem like the clingy type but I just find it odd that a girl is actually making an effort to build conversation over text.

Let me know your thoughts!
Thanks,

Not everything is black & white. If you didn't make a strong enough connection in person, then texting more may actually help. But in this case, it sounds like you've already got her on the hook. See how Franco handles it in the thread above.

I figured next time I was there I could remind her of it and set up logistics.

Personally, I don't like this. This allows too much room for error and for her to turn it down. If you can, set up a day & time. If it will be a while, then set up a day & time a week or 2 before you head down there.
